George R. Irvine III
Mr. Irvine is a member of the Firm and practices in the Firm’s Daphne, Alabama office.
He has been engaged in complex commercial and business litigation for more than thirty (30) years in Federal and State Courts throughout Alabama and other southeastern states. He has been very successful in his representation of clients in business and consumer tort and contract matters and construction, real estate and insurance litigation. He has defended and prosecuted partner and shareholder disputes, claims against officers and directors and professional responsibility claims. His comprehensive litigation experience also includes products liability and wrongful death actions, claims related to high dollar real estate development projects, fraud, suppression and misrepresentation claims and negligence actions. The majority of his practice involves complex litigation claims including class actions and mass torts. He has recovered millions of dollars for consumers in class action cases against national banks.
Mr. Irvine is licensed to practice law in Alabama and Louisiana. He is a member of the Mobile County Bar Association, the Baldwin County Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar Association and the Louisiana State Bar Association. Mr. Irvine is a member of the American Association for Justice and the Alabama Association for Justice and is admitted to practice in both the Fifth and Eleventh Federal Circuit Courts, the United States District Courts for the Southern, Middle and Northern Districts of Alabama and the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Western Districts of Louisiana. He is listed in the 2008 and 2009 Alabama edition of Super Lawyers in Business Litigation.
Born in Mobile, Alabama, Mr. Irvine graduated from Washington and Lee University in 1981 Cum Laude. He received his law degree from the University of Alabama in 1984. Mr. Irvine served on active duty in the U. S. Army as a Captain during Operations Desert Shield/Storm/Sortie. He has also been an adjunct professor of Business Law at Faulkner State University and the University of South Alabama.
