Erin B. Fleming
Erin Fleming resides in Fairhope and practices in the firm’s Daphne and Foley offices. She is a native of Geneva, Alabama. Ms. Fleming attended the University of South Alabama. Upon graduation, she attended the University of Alabama School of Law. Ms. Fleming also received a Master of Law in Taxation from Boston University.
Upon graduation from law school, Ms. Fleming clerked with the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals for the Honorable Judge Sue Bell Cobb. Ms. Fleming also clerked for Federal Magistrate Judge Sonja F. Bivins in the Southern District of Alabama.
Ms. Fleming’s areas of practice include the preparation of trusts and wills, will and trust litigation, estate and wealth protection and preservation planning, probate administration, ancillary estates, will contests, elder abuse litigation, fraudulent use of Power of Attorney litigation, business formations and tax law, elder law, guardianships and conservatorships, municipal law, and real property.
Ms. Fleming has successfully litigated will disputes, trust disputes, and contested guardianships and conservatorships in Mobile and Baldwin County Probate and Circuit Courts, as well as Alabama’s Appellate Courts. Ms. Fleming has obtained judgments for clients such as landowners, local municipalities and will beneficiaries.
Ms. Fleming is a member of the Alabama (Elder Law and probate sections), Mobile and Baldwin Bar Associations (Taxation, Probate and Trust Sections). She is past secretary, vice president and president of the Baldwin County Bar Association. Ms. Fleming also presents educational seminars on various topics such as elder law, retirement planning, estate planning , asset protection and Probate Court practice and procedures.
Ms. Fleming is an Alabama Law Foundation Fellow, a prestigious honor in which less than 1% of Alabama attorneys are chosen to be a Fellow. Fellows are chosen because of their dedication to improving their communities and state.
Ms. Fleming is active with the local Wills for Heroes program. She is a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church. Ms. Fleming enjoys spending time on Mobile Bay and traveling.
